The Atlantic City Police Department says two suspects wanted in connection to two different shootings in the city have been arrested.

In the first case, the ACPD says one of their officers arrested 35-year-old Andre Alexander of Vineland last weekend without incident in the first block of South Texas Avenue. Alexander was wanted for shooting a man on August 3rd. Police say on that afternoon, officers responded to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division in reference to a man who walked in with a gunshot wound. That victim, who was 22-years-old from Philadelphia, sustained a non-life threatening injury. The victim was shot during an altercation in the 3100 block of Pacific Avenue.

Alexander has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and certain person not to possess a weapon. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

A second arrest was made on December 11th when an investigation by detectives of the ACPD's Violent Crimes Unit led to the arrest of a 16-year-old male who was wanted in connection to a shooting that happened on October 25th. There, a 31-year-old man from Pleasantville walked into ARMC-City with a gunshot wound. The man said that he was shot and robbed in the 1100 block of Ohio Avenue. At the time of the shooting, the suspect was on the Home Electronic Detention System and wearing an ankle monitor.

The 16-year-old was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. The juvenile was remanded to the Harborfields Detention Facility.
