Victim of Pleasantville Homicide Identified, Two Others Were Shot

Authorities now say three people were shot in an incident in Pleasantville Thursday afternoon.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner says the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department continue to investigate a shooting that happened in the 100 block of Linden Avenue at around 3PM Thursday.

Pleasantville Police were initially called to the scene, where they found the body of Maurice Hampton, a.k.a. “Abdul Hamid”, 26, of Pleasantville. He had been shot.

Authorities now say two other people were shot, and taken to the hospital for treatment. They've been identified as Messiah Burton and Shilameen Henderson, both 18, both of Pleasantville.
