The Atlantic City Police Department says they distributed a flyer to their officers that featured a man from Vineland who was wanted in connection to a shooting in the city last weekend. Thirty minutes later, he was arrested.

According to a press release, just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon, two ACPD officers were in the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenue when they saw a man, identified only as being 17-years-old from Vineland, who was wanted. He was arrested and found to be in possession of 17 grams of marijuana, according to cops. Police say a flyer for his arrest had been distributed to officers only a half-hour prior.

Police say the man was wanted in connection to an incident on Sunday, September 20th, where a 41-year-old man was grazed by a bullet in the area of Indiana and Atlantic Avenues. The victim in that case told police he had been assaulted and robbed by a group of men; when he returned to look for his belongings, he confronted one of the assailants who then fired a shot, grazing the victim.

The 17-year-old man from Vineland was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault, conspiracy, robbery, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was remanded to Harborfields Detention Facility.
