New Jersey State Police officials are asking for your help in the investigation of a 32-year-old Vineland woman's death.

According to State Police, remains of the burned and dismembered body of Tonya Cook, 32, were discovered off of Banks Road in the area of Lummistown Road in Lawrence Township Monday Morning.

A passerby noticed the remains and contact law enforcement.

Part of the statement shared on Facebook from New Jersey State Police says:

Tonya Cook is known to have ties throughout Cumberland County. Anyone with information is asked to contact Port Norris Station at (856) 785-0036. Anonymous tips are welcome. This case is being investigated by the New Jersey State Police Homicide South Unit, Troop “A” Criminal Investigations Office, and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.

 

A GoFundMe page created by her brother, Timothy Cook seeks donations for her funeral. The page says Cook is "proof that good people do exist in this world and we can understand each other’s pain."
