Atlantic City, New Jersey made big news in 1964 while it performed abysmally as the host of the Democratic National Convention.

It took until the voters approved casino gaming in 1976 for Atlantic City only, that Atlantic City finally got its mojo back.

In case you were wondering if something big would take place in Atlantic City 58 years later, it has happened.

United States Vice President Kamala Harris has made big news this week at the National NAACP Convention, the biggest Convention to be held in Atlantic City since 1964.

In her speech before 8,000 to 10,000 National NAACP delegates inside the Atlantic City Convention Center, Harris drew a comparison between the recent United States Supreme Court decision, which overturned Roe V. Wade and sending The issue of abortion back to the states to decide.

Harris directly compared past, dark chapters in American history, “when people wanted to take control of peoples bodies,” said Harris.

As of today, this is making big national news, as this matter has become a major wedge issue in the November 8, 2022 mid-term national elections.

Control of both Houses of The United States Congress hangs in the balance.

Also taking place earlier today, the United States Capitol Police announced on Twitter:

UPDATE: We made a total of 34 arrests for Crowding,
Obstructing or Incommoding (DC Code § 22-1307).
That arrest number includes 16 Members of
Congress - U.S. Capitol Police.

The 16 members of Congress arrested include: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other prominent Democrats.

The arrests were made on the steps of The United States Supreme Court.

The Democrats plan to make abortion rights a major issue for at least the next 112 days.
