A fire Sunday afternoon in Sea Isle City that damaged several buildings has been ruled accidental.

According to the Sea Isle City Police Department, fire crews responded to 371 43rd Place for a report of a structure fire. Responding units arrived on-scene to find a shed engulfed in flames, which spread to a fuel tank and a commercial fishing boat in the water. Several neighboring fire departments responded and the fire was shortly declared under control.

An adjacent home sustained exterior heat damage. Two people were transported to an area hospital for minor injuries.

Authorities say a preliminary investigation has revealed the cause of this fire is accidental due to an equipment malfunction.
