Three words could save you a ton of hassle: lock your vehicle!

Police Say Four Unlocked Cars Were Stolen Overnight

The Mantua Police Department in Gloucester County says this past late Friday night into early Saturday morning, four vehicles were stolen in Wenonah by suspects who came in from out of the area.

According to authorities, every one of those vehicles was left unlocked and had the keys inside.

Sgt. Cody Mroz of the Mantua Township Police Department told NBC 10 how simple these crimes were: "So, they didn’t have to break a window. They didn’t have to copy any key fob technology. It was just as simple as them going in an unlocked car, touching the button and then taking the vehicle that way.”

Officials posted on Facebook, "This will continue to happen unless we can all work together and make it a habit to secure our vehicles before bed every night."

Three Vehicles Quickly Recovered; One Still Missing

Luckily, three of the four vehicles were recovered within one hour of them being taken -- two in Camden and another in Wenonah. Cops are still searching for the fourth.
