Police say when they arrived at the home, they found 28-year-old Lisa Jane Griner, the mother of a one, seven, and eight-year-old, experiencing the effects of a drug overdose. Griner was unconscious and unresponsive, according to a press release. Officers administered a dose of Naloxone which allowed Griner to recover. Additional medical help was provided by Wildwood Fire/Rescue at the scene.

Officials have charged Griner with three counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. She was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in accordance with state guidelines. The Division of Child Protection & Permanency assumed temporary custody of the three small children and they will conduct their own investigation.
