
Bomb Threat Closes Part of Wildwood, NJ, Boardwalk Friday Afternoon
- A section of the Wildwood boardwalk was temporarily closed after a reported threat
- Police and K9 units searched the area as part of the investigation
- The incident is still under investigation, officials are asking for tips
A bomb threat closed a portion of the Wildwood boardwalk Friday afternoon.
Police Receive Afternoon Threat
The Wildwood Police Department says they received a threat to a business on the 3300 block of the boardwalk just before 3:30 PM.
Once that area was cleared and secured, law enforcement K9s trained to detect explosives searched the area.
Following an extensive investigation, police say no threats to public safety were located and the area reopened.

Wildwood police say the incident remains under investigation and anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call (609) 522-0222.
Authorities thanked the Wildwood Fire Department, Cape May County Sheriff's Office, and the Wildwood Crest Police Department for their assistance in this incident.
