Former Wildwood High School football star Wes Hills had a big game on Saturday.

The 2012 graduate is playing professionally in the USFL for the New Orleans Breakers.

The league, which plays during the spring, is in its second season.

Hills had a dominant performance in his first game on Saturday, rushing 18 times for 110 yards and reaching the end zone three times. He added three catches for 17 yards.

Hills, 27, first went to the University of Delaware and later landed at Slippery Rock for the 2018 season, where he had a school-record 1,714 yards and added 28 receptions for 193 yards during his only season at the Division II school.

He went on to play in the NFL with Arizona and Detroit where he has 21 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. Hills has also played in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger Cats, where he had 405 yards and one touchdown.

While at Wildwood, Hills rushed for 2,107 yards and 35 touchdowns as a senior and for 1,294 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior, leading the Warriors to a 6-4 record and its first playoff appearance in 40 years in 2012.
