The month of April, 2025 is Child Abuse Prevention Month in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

This important focus has officially been recognized for more than 40 years.

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small and his wife, La’Quetta Small are facing a myriad of criminal child abuse charges between them.

A second Atlantic County Grand Jury also indicted Marty Small for witness tampering ….. alleging that he tried to get a witness to change their previous testimony.

Speculation is swirling as to whether or not Marty and La’Quetta Small will be attending the upcoming, Wednesday, April 30, 2024 Pinwheels for PREVENTION® event.

It will be held at the Atlantic County Office Building Auditorium, located at 1333 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The culminating event of this year’s Child Abuse Prevention Month will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Atlantic County Child Abuse Prevention Month event will showcase the participants that planted Pinwheel Gardens in order to raise awareness.

It is sponsored by the Atlantic County Youth Services Commission and Prevent Child Abuse - New Jersey.

La’Quetta Small has not been suspended while facing a charge of child abuse. It’s unprecedented to allow a superintendent to continue to have direct pupil contact … as well as direct contact with Certified and supportive staff members in this manner.

Leaving this matter unaddressed has created significant liability for the taxpayers of Atlantic City.

The Atlantic City Board of Education, County Superintendent, Commissioner and state of New Jersey have blatantly failed to do their job … by refusing to address this situation.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy did address Marty Small with a velvet touch … whereby Governor Murphy suggested that Marty Small should step down as Mayor of Atlantic City.

It is a busy and consequential time for Marty and La’Quetta Small.

Marty Small is facing reelection on Tuesday, June 10, 2024.

Additionally, Marty and La’Quetta Small will be facing an Atlantic County Judge and Jury on July 15, 2025.

The stakes could not be higher, as both Marty and La’Quetta Small are fighting for both their careers and their freedom.
