Zack Snyder is a bit of a polarizing director. His movies often go with style over substance, which makes critics rolls their eyes while the public throws money at him. Love him or hate him, the guy is popular and makes blockbusters.

Snyder will be stepping away from the big-screen to create the Netflix original "Army of the Dead", which will be his second foray into the world of zombies, after 2004's "Dawn of the Dead". There's some conflicting information as to whether "Army" will be a straight sequel to "Dawn", or just take place in the same cinematic universe, or be a stand-alone.

While the movie will be set in Las Vegas, filming will take place in Atlantic City this September. Heery-Loftus Casting has put out the call, and they're looking for men or women, any ethnicity, Union and non-Union actors that fulfill the following:

  • Skinny Zombies - very slim build is important
  • Athletic Zombies - must be in good shape and look physically fit
  • Amputees
  • Men who are comfortable portraying male exotic dancers. 21-30 years old, any ethnicity; will be wearing a speedo and chaps

Well damn. I'm 0-for-4 on that, so I don't think "Army of the Dead" is going to be my big break.
