2 Teens Arrested For Allegedly Firing Shots in Atlantic City, NJ
Two teens have been arrested for allegedly firing gunshots in Atlantic City Sunday afternoon.
According to the Atlantic City Police Department, the scene unfolded around 1:15 in the area of the 100 block of North Maryland Avenue.
Responding officers arrived to locate a crime scene in the area and several witnesses that said they observed the shooting and several juveniles running from the area.
Police say an investigation revealed the juveniles entered the back of a home in the 900 block of Baltic Avenue. Officers immediately secured the area and closed the area to traffic.
The Atlantic City SWAT team subsequently cleared the residence and located two juveniles inside who were detained for investigative purposes.
Inside the home, officials allegedly found two handguns, one of which was defaced and fitted with a high-capacity magazine.

The teens, 15 and 17 years old and both from Atlantic City, have been charged with the following:
- Unlawful possession of a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose
- Possession of a defaced firearm
- Possession of a high-capacity magazine
- Tampering with evidence
- Aggravated assault
- Conspiracy
The pair were remanded to Harbor Fields Juvenile Detention Center.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
