Today marks the 25th anniversary of one of the saddest days in Wildwood Crest history.

On June 2, 1995, Wildwood Crest Patrolman Eugene Miglio, 42, suffered a fatal heart attack after being kicked in the head by the sister of a motorist he had pulled over at 4AM.

At the time of his death, Geno Miglio had been a cop in Wildwood Crest for 14 years. He was survived by his wife, his son and his daughter.

Our condolences to his family on the anniversary of Officer Miglio's death.
