
Abducted Child Case in New Castle County, DE, Now a Homicide Investigation
11 AM UPDATE: Authorities in New Castle County say following an investigation, they have determined that the information that was given to them by the girl's mother was false, and this incident is now being handled as a homicide investigation by Maryland State Police.
According to WCAU-TV,
While investigators say the incident is now a homicide investigation, they have not said if or where the young girl was found dead or a possible manner of death.

Authorities in Delaware have issued an Amber Alert for a 3-year-old girl who was abducted at gunpoint.
Nola Dinkins Kidnapped in Delaware
New Castle County police said the scene unfolded Tuesday evening around 7:15 in the 500 block of Gender Road in Newark, DE.
That's where it was reported that a mother's 3-year-old daughter, Nola Dinkins, was abducted at gunpoint by an unknown white male, approximately in his mid-40s, bald with peach fuzz.
Dinkins' mother told police that the incident happened shortly after she had pulled over the side of the road to talk to her daughter. That's when the man approached and held her at gunpoint, according to WCAU-TV.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and grey basketball shorts and he was armed with a handgun.
Vehicle Description
Police say the suspect entered an older model black or dark-colored Ford or Chevrolet SUV, which appeared to have rust or dirt on the exterior. That vehicle was being driven by an unknown white female.
Authorities did not say which direction the vehicle may have fled, however, Gender Road is located near several major highways, including Interstate 95.
Child's Description
Nola Dinkins is described as follows:
- Black female
- Approximately 3 feet tall
- 25 pounds
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black leggings, and white shoes, with her hair styled in a bun.
