A souvenir store on the Wildwood Boardwalk, around for generations, has closed its gate for the final time.

According to Wildwood365 on Instagram, The Karvounis Family has closed Eleanor's for good after 70 years.

70 years! Think of what Eleanor's Gifts and the Wildwood Boardwalk would have looked like back when the souvenir store first opened in the 1950s. It must have been so cool. Honestly, the store (at least from the outside) never really changed much over the years.

As Wildwood365 points out, the closing of Eleanor’s Gifts (at 33rd and the boardwalk) is another sad, but realistic, reminder that nothing lasts forever. But there is some good news. It appears that Eleanor's online website, wildwoodsouvenirs.com, is still active, at least for now.

Did you ever shop for Wildwood souvenirs or beach toys at Eleanor's? Do you still have anything from the store?
