Academy of Country Music Awards Honors Mohegan Sun Arena

Tom Cantone has done it, again.

Yet another award for Cantone, his team and The Mohegan Sun Arena, in Uncasville, Connecticut. When you get to know Cantone, you quickly learn that he is all about “team” and never about “I.”

The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards has selected The Mohegan Sun Arena as the Casino of the Year - Arena.

Cantone is the  President of MGE Sports & Entertainment Worldwide (Mohegan Sun).

“Every award that we receive, we do so with much gratitude and appreciation for the tremendous hard work it takes by so many at Mohegan Sun and I am blessed to be part of the most recognized and celebrated team in America, said Cantone.

To put Cantone's elite pedigree in perspective, he has singularly booked more than 10,000 entertainment and sports events over the past 40 years.

Cantone has achieved a record of the accomplishment and longevity that will probably never be matched, ever again.

Cantone’s record is incomparable. He was the first to book Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, and many others in a casino showroom, along with all of the all-time greats.

Cantone is the author of his book, aptly titled Book Em.

Cantone also donated his time and talents, as the featured guest of honor and keynote speaker at our most recent Hurley in the Morning Charity event, held at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.

Each attending guest received an autographed copy of Cantone’s book.

The Academy of Country Music® announced the award winners from the 57TH ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS at the Grand Ole Opry House Friday night in a special moment.

Cantone and Mohegan Sun will be celebrated during the 15th Academy of Country Music Honors™ on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
