Two men from South Jersey, one from Gloucester County and the from Burlington County, will be spending the next five years in prison after pleading guilty to having and distributing child porn.

In separate cases, 38-year-old Albert Pisanelli of Deptford and 42-year-old David Bucci of Burlington City both pled guilty to one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina says both men admitted to possessing more than two dozen images or videos of children engaging in sexual acts and sharing those files with others.

Under agreements with the Prosecutor’s Office, Coffina says each defendant faces five years in state prison without the possibility of parole. They will also be placed on the state sex offender registry when they are released from prison and they will be under parole supervision for life.

Sentencing is scheduled for September 1st for Pisanelli and September 22nd for Bucci.

Authorities say the two were arrested as part of Operation Safe Quarantine, which targeted people engaging in the online exploitation of children during the pandemic. The initiative resulted in charges against 46 people in a 12-month period.
