Atlantic City, NJ Councilman May Not Live In Atlantic City

There are now mounting and serious allegations that a sitting Atlantic City, New Jersey Councilman does not live in Atlantic City.

Yesterday morning, during live on-air interviews on WPG Talk Radio 95.5, Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt, former Atlantic City Council President Craig Callaway and Naeem Khan all declared that sitting Atlantic City Councilman Muhammad 'Anjum’ Zia does not live in Atlantic City.

According to them, Zia allegedly has not lived in Atlantic City for more than 5 years, despite continuing to serve on the Atlantic City Council.

Zia currently leads Maria Lacca by 13 votes as a result of the recent November 7, 2023 General Election.

A significant number of votes … provisional and otherwise have not yet been counted.

With Callaway working directly with the Lacca … many people … including Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small believe that Lacca will ultimately be declared the winner.

This would be bad news for Small, who basically ran the Zia campaign. If Lacca wins, Small loses, as there will be a 5-4 City Council majority that does not support his agenda, effective January 1, 2024.

Khan called Zia “a disgrace to Atlantic City and our Asian community.”

Khan also alleged yesterday morning that Zia “threatened taxi drivers who did not support” his campaign.

Tibbitt confirmed on-air that Zia “personally told me that he does not live in Atlantic City because his wife will not move here.”

Tibbitt, Callaway and Khan all stated that Zia lives in Egg Harbor Township, with Khan saying that he has been to Zia’s Egg Harbor Township home “many times.”

This is a major City and countless prominent figures have publicly come forward for many years to say that Zia does not live in Atlantic City, yet has been allowed to serve in elective office.

What remains a mystery is why the Atlantic City Police Department, nor the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will do their job and properly investigate this.
