Atlantic City, NJ, Juvenile Arrested For Handgun Possession & More

The Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Department arrested a juvenile male with a handgun that was located in his waistband.

The Circumstances

That arrest was made possible because of the diligence of an off duty, Atlantic City Police Officer, Eric Evans.

Atlantic City Police Officer John Bell Took It From There.

The Atlantic City Police Department released the following information:

On June 16, 2025, Detective Eric Evans received information regarding a juvenile male being in possession of a handgun in the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue. Detective Evans was off-duty and provided the information to Officer John Bell.

A Group Of Juvenile's Were Loitering

Officer Bell located a group of young males and found one who matched the description of the juvenile in question.

Juvenile Had A Gun In His Waistband

OffIcer Bell was able sift through the crowd and located the juvenile, who had a handgun in his waistband.

Handgun Stolen In Egg Harbor City

The juvenile was placed into custody without incident.

Juvenile Is Charged With:

• Unlawful possession of a weapon.
• possession of a defaced firearm.
• receiving stolen property.

The juvenile was taken to Harborfields Detention Facility.

The boy is 15 years old, from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
