Atlantic City, NJ Mayor Arrived Late to 911 Ceremony & Said …
Atlantic City, New Jersey Mayor Marty Small arrived late for the annual Saracini-O'Neill Atlantic City 9/11 Memorial Ceremony.
It was held at Jackson Avenue and the Boardwalk on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
Multiple people who attended, reached out to us to report that they were aghast when Small uttered his obligatory “Can You Say Great Day.”
It turns out, Small actually spoke his embarrassing catch phrase twice.
It was clearly not a “great day” in Atlantic City. September 11th is and will always be a solemn day.
September 11, 2001 was the worst terrorist attacks in United States history.
Nearly 3,000 died on September 11, 2001. Thousands more have died over the past 23 years from cancer, mesothelioma and other maladies because of the toxic aftermath of the terrorist attacks.
Small is a self-absorbed, tone-deaf politician of the lowest order.
Smalls’ “Can you say great day” schtick is a running joke. Everyone mocks it, yet Small continues to say it at every setting, no matter how inappropriate it may be, depending on the occasion.
To their credit, the official City of Atlantic City Facebook page posted an appropriate comment as follows:
Today, 23 years after the horrific events of September 11, 2001, we again come together as one nation to remember all those innocent lives lost and honor the heroes that emerged that day. In Atlantic City this morning, the Atlantic County community gathered at the Saracini-O'Neill 9/11 Memorial for a beautiful ceremony to show that we, like the rest of our country, will #alwaysremember #neverforget
The annual September 11, 2024 event is profound in nature.
