Residents of Atlantic City, New Jersey’s Stanley Holmes Village Apartments have been living for more than two years without basic utilities and necessities.

Many have lived without heat, hot water, working stoves … amongst rodents, insects and other unhealthy conditions.

Atlantic City Council Members George Tibbitt, La Toya Dunston, Jesse Kurtz and Bruce Weekes want to hold City Council public hearings to assist the underserved residents of the Stanley Holmes Village Apartments.

They want to shine the light of truth on the public housing catastrophe in Atlantic City and to bring much-needed help to the affected residents.

Unfortunately, Atlantic City Mayor Small and the 5 City Council Members that he controls will not allow public hearings to take place.

The five Atlantic City Council Members that are currently blocking open, public hearings on the City’s public hosting crisis include:

Aaron “Sporty” Randolph, who is the current City Council President; Kaleem Shabazz, City Council Vice President; Stephanie Marshall, Muhammad 'Anjum’ Zia & George “Animal” Crouch.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Referring to Councilman Crouch above as “Animal” is not a slight. For many years, Crouch has regularly used “Animal” as his nickname, as a term of affection.

We will be visiting on-air on Friday, February 16, 2024 during the 8:00 a.m. with Matt Doherty. Doherty is the former Executive Director of the Atlantic City Housing Authority.

Last year, Doherty was publicly exposing corruption within the Atlantic City Housing Authority.

To stop Doherty, the Atlantic City Housing Authority Board fired Doherty, without cause.

Tibbitt is already scheduled for today’s 9:00 a.m. hour and he will join us with Doherty during today’s 8:00 a.m. hour.

United States Congressman Jeff Van Drew, R-NJ-2 has been filling the void left by the lack of care, concern and effort by Small and a majority of the Atlantic City.

Van Drew wrote a letter to Marcia Fudge earlier this week … asking for her to join with him in Atlantic City … at the Stanley Holmes Village Apartments.

Here is a copy of the Van Drew Letter to Marcia Fudge, who is the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. It is very wide-ranging in nature.
