Atlantic City, NJ Mayor Priorities are Hiring Ex-Offenders & ‘Weed’
Violent crime is at epidemic levels in Atlantic City, New Jersey … yet, the priorities of the radical and highly controversial Mayor Marty Small is to hire ex-offenders and promote recreational marijuana in The World’s Playground.
It should be noted that every state and city that approves recreational, legalized marijuana … always falls short of the projected revenue… But, they never fall short of all of the other societal ills that are a direct result.
Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt and Garden State Fuels owner Naeem Khan appeared on-air with us on Monday, March 4, 2024 in a wide-ranging interview.
First, the good news. Tibbitt was highly complimentary about Chief James Sarkos and the Atlantic City Police Department for their performance this past week.
Atlantic City was the host to two big events at the same time … The New Jersey state wrestling championships at Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Boat Show at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Both events are world class and Tibbitt stated on-air that the uniformed police presence for both everts was masterclass.
Tibbitt said that he "can’t remember the last time that there was this much uniformed police presence.”
Many have rightfully commented that Atlantic City does not feel safe during Small’s time as Mayor.
Tibbitt declared that while the wrestling championships and boat show were in town … the City felt safe and was safe.
Although there was a shooting murder (early) during the wrestling championships on Florida Avenue.
Khan has invested big dollars in Atlantic City, including more than $ 1 million on one property alone. This property will include a business establishment and multiple apartments above for residents to live.
Khan was highly critical of the Marty Small administration and its proclivity to harass business owners of its choosing … while turning a blind eye to the rampant violent crime and “anyone who supports Small,” said Khan.
Khan was also critical of the 10:00 p.m. curfew, which forces some Atlantic City businesses to close … whole other’s of Small’s choosing are allowed to operate 24 hours per-day.
On the very day (yesterday) that Khan appeared on-air with us, he was paid a visit by the New Jersey Attorney General’s office of Inspector of Weights and Measures at his Garden State Fuels business.
Maybe this is just a coincidence, but …….
Tibbitt told me that it is the County of Atlantic (that) handles weights and measures in Atlantic City.
