Atlantic City, NJ, Talk Host View on Trump Assassination Attempt

I can’t help but to deeply believe that the healing hands of God was on display in President Donald Trump surviving an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Had President Trump’s head been positioned differently by only a fraction of an inch, he likely would have been assassinated last night.

Did God blow a whisper of wind and move the bullet away from a certain kill shot?

There is an actual photo that exists of the vapor trail of the bullet that likely hit President on the top part of his right ear.

This much I know. As a nation, we must lower the temperature of the rhetoric. It must stop. We can not go on like this any longer.

President Trump’s political enemies have been calling him such things as “Hitler, an existential threat to our Democracy,” and worse on a daily basis for more than 7 years.

What I intend to do tomorrow morning (Monday, July 15, 2024), is to dial down the rhetoric as much as humanly possible, while still saying what needs to be said.

The vitriol in American politics and our country today have reached unacceptable levels.

Some of the comments on both Facebook and X, (formerly Twitter) right after President Trump’s assassination attempt are disgusting, but, not surprising in the current environment.

A national commentator actually criticized President Trump for saying “Fight, Fight, Fight,” just seconds after he had been shot by an assassins bullet … the commentator said, "That's not the message that we want to being sending right now. We want to tamp it down"

Yes, that’s how sick and deep this Trump hatred runs with some. This is just one example of Trump being criticized moments after being shot.

I view Trump’s reaction to his near assassination this way:

I believe that President Trump displayed tremendous courage snd supreme leadership in a life and death situation.

President Trump wanted to show the American people that he was alive and that good will prevail over evil.

Just as I was about to finish my article, President Trump just released the following statement:

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness. And show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win. I truly love our Country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin.

I have personally known President Trump for more than 35 years. I worked with him closely for almost 3 years.

Nothing at all surprised me in the stoic and determined manner that President Trump handled the assassination attempt on his life, by displaying such courage.

We send our deepest thoughts and prayers to the family of the rally attendee who was killed and to the multiple other families who have had loved ones shot yesterday in Butler, Pennsylvania.
