
Suspect Threatens Two: Arrested & Gun Recovered In Atlantic City, NJ
The Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Department, under the direction of Chief Jim Sarkos keeps racking up wins.
The latest example involves the arrest of a suspect who allegedly threatened to shoot two people.
HANDGUN RECOVERED
This incident also resulted in the latest gun taken off the streets by the Atlantic City Police Department.
JUST THE FACTS
On May 14, 2025, at 4:17 PM, patrol officers responded to the 2900 block of Fairmount Avenue in reference to a report of a male with a handgun threatening to shoot his ex-girlfriend and her mother. The male was reportedly sitting in a vehicle on the street. Officer Kevin Puca located the vehicle and began to speak with the occupants, a 17-year-old male and his mother, said the Atlantic City Police Department.
THINGS WENT “SOUTH” FROM HERE
Atlantic City Police Officers asked the male youth to exit the car. Instead, he would not comply and allegedly became combative.
The youth male then allegedly proceeded to resist arrest.
Additional police officers assisted and the youth male was resisted.
POLICE OFFICERS DISCOVER HANDGUN
The Atlantic City Police found a handgun that was located under the seat where the youth male was sitting.
ARRESTED:
17-year-old male from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
CHARGES:
- Terroristic threats.
- Unlawful possession of a weapon.
- Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
- Possession of a defaced firearm.
- Resisting arrest.
- Obstruction of justice.
