Atlantic City, NJ, View: Why Is Disney’s Hall Of Presidents Closed?

First, it would be hard to find a bigger Walt Disney World fan than me.

Our family has been going to Disney World since 1983.

We have visited multiple times each year for the past 17 years. We have been DVC Members since 2009.

We love our time spent in Disney World and we’re here right now.

THIS IS WRONG

I don’t like this. Why is The Hall of Presidents still closed?

Why did Disney significantly change the sign from 2017 to 2025 … when Donald Trump first won The Presidency versus the second time he won?

Here are the photos that I took on May 7, 2017 and in February, 2025.

DISNEY,  PLEASE TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL

There is a very big difference in the tone of these two signs.

In 2017, it read:

The HALL of PRESIDENTS IS Currently Being Prepared to Welcome Our New President

Now, in 2025, it reads:

The HALL of PRESIDENTS IS Closed for Refurbishment

It’s a not a subtle change.

TRUMP ANIMATRONIC WAS ALREADY BUILT

I fully understand the closing in 2017. Disney had to build the elaborate President Trump animatronic. They had to record President Trump’s speech. They need time to rework things when there is a new President.

However, Disney already has the Trump animatronic now. The Hall of Presidents was open for business on January 19, 2025 with Trump in the show as a former President.

Yet, the attraction has been closed since January 20, 2025, with no official word on when it will reopen.

The Hall of Presidents is the vision of Walt Disney himself. Before each show, there is a wonderful announcement of this fact.

Since for only the second time in American history … and, for the first time in Disney Hall of Presidents history … we have the same President serving split terms … Disney had the opportunity to keep the show going without an extended months long delay.

DISNEY, PLEASE DO BETTER HERE

I’ve been reading as much as I can about this topic. Beyond sketchy rumors … about the only comment available is that the Hall of Presidents is expected to open some time in 2025.

Here (below) is how President Trump appeared in this awesome show in December 24, 2025 when we were there. I knew it would be the last time we would see him here for a long time.

It’s not the fact that Disney has closed the Hall of Presidents attraction for now that bothers me. It’s the way that they’ve done it that I don’t like.

Dear Walt Disney World … from one of your biggest fans … do the right thing here … and, while you’re at it … Please communicate much better on this subject going forward.

I truly love the Hall of Presidents attraction. Bring it back ASAP.
