Atlantic City, New Jersey (City Hall) sources have confirmed that Geoffrey F. Dorsey is facing the domestic charge of simple assault, purposefully/knowingly causing bodily injury.

Dorsey is currently a Commissioner and Treasurer of the Atlantic City Housing Authority.

Dorsey is also currently a Democratic candidate for Atlantic City Council for the 6th ward.

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small supports Dorsey’s candidacy versus incumbent City Councilman Jesse Kurtz.

Although Kurtz is a Republican, Small previously supported Kurtz. Small lost Kurtz’ political support over the past year, which was a very tumultuous year for small.

Small also lost the support of Atlantic City Council President George Tibbitt in 2022.
