Atlantic City Police Officers responded to the top floor of a parking garage (exact location not revealed by the ACPD) following a report from security officers that a man was on the ledge in some level of distress.

Complicating the matter is the fact that the man on the ledge told security officers if he saw any police officers or medical personnel that he would jump.

Atlantic City police officers strategically position themselves in a manner that the man on the ledge could not see them. Then, they developed their rescue plan.

Atlantic City Police Officers Kyle Bender and Melvin Murray, made the rescue by grabbing the man after approaching him from behind.

Atlantic City Police Officers Janicquea Harold and Atiqil Islam materially assisted in this delicate rescue.

The man was moved to a safe location and taken to  AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for proper evaluation.
