Atlantic City Police Officer – Shot in the Head – Rips Cheap Shot Critic
I am a huge Josh Vadell fan.
Former Atlantic City Police Officer Josh Vadell's life was almost taken in 2016 when he was shot in the
head in the line of duty.
Vadell has managed a catastrophic injury as well as anyone possibly could.
In 2018, Martell Chisholm and Demetris Cross each received 32-year sentences for the 2016 shooting that left Vadell partially paralyzed on his left side.
They each must serve 85% of their sentence before being eligible for consideration for parole.
At the time of their sentencing, Vadell said in Atlantic County Superior Court Judge John R. Rauh's courtroom:
"I want you guys to know that your robbery was successful that night," said Vadell. "You robbed me of my life. You robbed my kids of their daddy. You robbed my wife of her husband. You robbed my mother and sister of their son and brother."
The last time that I wrote about Vadell was in 2022, when he spoke out about the lack of proper Atlantic City Police patrol duty officers on the street.
Vadell spoke about how riding with a partner saved his life.
Back then, Vadell said:
I didn't want to, but had to make a news break account to comment on this one. The night I was shot, there was only about a handful of officers on the street. you would think a near fatal shooting of an officer, would make them want to make changes for; at minimum community safety, let alone officer safety. patrol has always gotten the shaft, so I'm not surprised that nothing has changed. being a two-man unit saved my life. The people from the state Don't care about Atlantic City residents or employees, they only care about The power they have and the dollar signs. there's so much more I can say, but 11 reserve myself as to not hurt any feelings. Great article, thank you for shading light on the topic! stay safe ACPD! said Vadell.
On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, Vadell wrote the following in his Facebook page:
just posting this to let the ignorant fuc** on the Internet, know that my head isn't still dented, and that I will ALWAYS be a happier, tougher, more confident, and better person than ANY of them. because at the end of the day, my life could be worse, I could be sad and pathetic like THEM, and have to try to make people feel bad, just to feel any smidge of happiness, in a sad existence. Words don't hurt me, and like the bullet that's in my head, they make me stronger! #beastmode, wrote Vadell.
Vadell was responding to an individual an individual who posted this comment on Vadell’s Facebook page:
“just went to your page and yeah i'm going to be nice and let you make it today dent head.”
Vadell is awesome. I love the way that he handles adversity.
Just a few weeks ago, Josh Vadell posted and graphic photographs about his traumatic head injury.
