I wrote a column with a similar theme back during the first wave of the Coronavirus, when things had worsened.

The much predicted second wave is hitting America with a very heavy punch.

The second phase is proving to be worse than the first.

It’s also extremely important that we grapple with the fact that Atlantic County New Jersey is currently an official hotspot.

ThePatch.com put a great piece together. It featured official statistics that prove the point that I’m illustrating.

It used to be that most people didn’t personally know one person who had contracted COVID-19.

Now, the opposite is true. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t know someone who has been infected.

While it’s true that most people who contract COVID-19 don’t die ... those who possess comorbidities, it can easily be a death sentence.

I know that it is important that we be permitted to live our lives. It’s human nature. We thirst to be free.

Most people do not react well when being ordered to make departures from your civil liberties.

The list is also long with hypocrite politicians who have been ordering their citizens to do one thing, while they brazenly do another.

This distinctly complicates the matter.

It is imperative that government not shut down and ruin lives by these measures.

It must not be turned into a draconian game of choose your poison.

For the next 3 months, it’s very important that we all be very careful. The vaccine for this beast virus/disease is on the way.

It is a morale imperative and health emergency ... necessitating that Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson must immediately ramp-up testing.

To his credit, Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small has been extremely proactive during the first and second wave of the Coronavirus.

Please stay safe and healthy.
