Authorities Asking for Help ID’ing Two in Connection to Atlantic City Murder
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is asking for the public's help identifying two people of interest in connection to the murder of an Egg Harbor Township man in Atlantic City early Sunday morning.
Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner says around 12:45 early Sunday morning, Atlantic City Police responded to a home in the 100 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue for the report of a man who had been shot. The shooting victim, 36-year-old Jose Ortiz of Egg Harbor Township, was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center-City Campus where he was pronounced deceased.
As police continue to investigate the incident, they are asking for the public's help identifying two people of interest that were captured on video. A still from the video is below while the video can be viewed on the prosecutor's website.
An autopsy was completed on Ortiz and the cause of death was identified as a gunshot wound. The manner of death was identified as homicide.
