Authorities Searching for Missing Kite Surfer Off Ocean City
Ocean City Police and the Coast Guard are asking for your help in locating a missing kite surfer.
According to a press release,
Coast Guard Station Atlantic City watchstanders received a call from 911, notifying them of a kite surfer, reportedly wearing all black, seen drifting out to sea after falling off a kiteboard approximately 500-yards off Corson Inlet, at around 3:20 p.m.
The Ocean City Police Department says a black and white ‘Ocean Rodeo Cypher 10’ kite was located in the water near the 5700 block of the beach but the board and person were not found.
As of this evening, the OCPD has no missing persons reports from family or friends and no property or vehicles were found on the beach in the area.
Authorities ask anyone who was kite surfing around 3:00 on Thanksgiving afternoon in the 5700 block of the beach to please contact the OCPD at (609) 399-9111.
