Best summer events happening in Avalon, NJ

What Are The Best Events Happening In Avalon During June 2024

*Saturday June 8:
-The 40th Annual Avalon Flower Show will be at Avalon Community Hall located at the corner of 30th Street and Avalon Avenue. Starting at 10 am, the Annual Avalon Garden Club will present this show with the theme “Here Comes the Summer”.

*Saturday June 15:
-Avalon is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Flyers winning the Franchise's first Stanley Cup Championship. Attendees to the event will have the opportunity to receive a special commemorative photo along with partake in a Q&A session with former Flyers Players Joe and Jimmy Watson along with Don Saleski and Dave “The Hammer” Schultz.

The event will be hosted at Surfside Park (30th Street and Avalon Avenue) starting at 3 pm and in case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the Avalon Community Hall across the street.

*Thursday June 20:
-The first of the Thursdays at Surfside Beach Concert Series will kick off at 7 pm featuring the famous Sensational Soul Cruisers. You are invited to bring your beach chairs to this sunset concert with wine and beer on sale thanks to the Avalon Chamber of Commerce.

*Saturday June 22:
-The inaugural Summer Solstice Festival will feature a variety of food vendors and kid's activities at Surfside Park. The vendors will be on-site from 5 pm to 9 pm and a Beach Boys Tribute Concert on the stage at 7 pm featuring the musical group Still Surfin'.
