In an effort to push South Jersey closer to a complete reopening, Cape May County has announced their new plan to ensure social distancing mandates are adhered to.

The county announced on their website the launch of their Six Feet Saves campaign.

In addition to providing people with educational materials detailing proper safety measures and precautions while the state figures out what comes next, the campaign will introduce individuals to the community known as social distancing ambassadors.

The ambassadors will be responsible for maintaining the health mandates set forth by the powers that be to ensure all residents remain safe and healthy while working to return to a new normal.

The program is set to launch on May 15th. Those on the ambassador team will be assigned vests with the county seal to be worn so they're easily identified.

Social Distancing Ambassadors will have a presence all over Cape May County, including beaches, boardwalks, and popular downtown destinations.
