Cape May County Zoo Gets Ready for Spring, 2021, Season
The on-set of the coronavirus pandemic turned our world upside down last year at this time. The virus was responsible for closing down so many places we enjoyed going to including restaurants, gyms, movie theatres, casinos, beaches, and the award-winning Cape May Zoo.
It will be a much different story this spring as the Cape May Zoo gets ready for safe, in-person experiences according to 6 ABC.
Safety protocols remain firmly in place at the zoo including face coverings and social distancing.

You can support the zoo this spring and summer by adopting an animal. Your adoption package includes a photo and fact sheet of your animal, an official adoption certificate, and a plush animal if you choose the deluxe package.
Here are all of the awesome animals you can adopt:
- Bataar the Snow Leopard
- Beau the Giraffe
- Bennie the Cheetah
- Felina the Ring Tail Lemur
- Gracie The Zebra
- Lex the Lion
- Luna the Red Panda
- Mork the Otter
The Cape May Zoo also welcomed the newest resident. Get ready to say hello to "Lydia," a one and a half-year-old female Grant's Zebra who comes from the Como Park Zoo in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Lydia will join the zebra herd for matting purposes with Ziggy, the lone stallion at the zoo, according to the press release.
The Cape May County Zoo is open daily from 10AM to 3:30PM during the winter months and the park is open daily from 7AM until dusk.
