There's no crying in baseball. Tell that to Brock Stassi.

Brock Stassi, a 27-year-old first baseman-right fielder, become more than choked up after he found out he made the Phillies Opening Day roster.

Stassi had good reason to let the emotions roll over him. He was a 33rd-round draft pick by the Phillies in 2011 and he has yet to play a single game in the show, toughing it out on the long bus rides and small paychecks of the minors.

His brother, Max, is a catcher for the Astros and summed up just how much Brock had to overcome to get to this point.

We all follow the stories of the stars, like Bryce Harper and Mike Trout, but these other players who grind day in day out know how awesome it is to finally make it to the majors.

Stassi probably won't see a lot of playing time and there's a good chance he'll wind up back in the minors, but he's the living embodiment of the ol' baseball adage that hope springs eternal.
