South Jersey Lottery players, it's time to check your tickets.

The New Jersey Lottery announced that a winning $10,000 Mega Millions Lottery ticket was sold at the Ocean City Acme, at 3428 Simpson Ave., on Tuesday, Aug. 24.

The ticket was the only third-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Tuesday drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn for the winning $10,000 prize.

According to the New Jersey Lottery, in addition to the third-tier prize won, 25 players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Moreover, 31,129 other New Jersey players took home $123,736 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, August 24, drawing were: 17, 18, 26, 52, and 67. The Gold Mega Ball was 19, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.

If you are jumping up and down right now after realizing you have those winning numbers, keep this in mind. Mega Millions winners have one year to claim their prize, although it usually doesn't take nearly that long.

Sometimes it happens the next day and other times winners in New Jersey have waited until the last week, according to Dean Ialacci, a New Jersey Lottery spokesperson.

"It’s rare that people wait the whole year, but it has happened,"

What happens if the prize isn't claimed? In New Jersey, the unclaimed prize money doesn't roll back into the prize fund. Instead, it is treated the same way as lottery revenues and gets allocated to state institutions and state aid for education, according to New Jersey state law.

Congratulations if you won $10,000 bucks with your winning Mega Millions ticket from the Ocean City Acme!

If not, the next drawing will be held on Friday at 11 pm.
