Child Injured When Caught in Escalator at Hamilton Mall

A child was injured Sunday evening when he fell and became lodged in an escalator on the first floor of Macy's at the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.

According to a witness writing on the Scan Atlantic City Facebook page,

A child fell on the escalator, and his arm was lodged in the stairs of the escalator and  the fingers on his other hand were also lodged.

The boy has been freed and is being transported by a lifestar helicopter and he is in stable condition at this time. Mom also passed out.

Police, fire and a medevac helicopter were on the scene to help with the rescue at the Hamilton Mall.
