Cops: Motel Robbery Suspect Arrested in Atlantic City
Cops in Atlantic City say a man from Brooklyn was robbed inside of a motel elevator and a man from Vineland has been arrested for committing the crime.
The robbery, according to police, took place inside of an elevator at Baymont Inn and Suites on South Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. just after 2AM last Sunday. Officers at the scene spoke with a 35-year-old man from Brooklyn who said he was robbed at gunpoint.
About three hours later, the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Albert Hannah, Jr., of Vineland, was spotted at Tennessee and Pacific Avenues. As cops approched, he fled, but authorities were able to eventually arrest him.
Police say when he was arrested, he was found to be in possession of 20 bags of heroin and a small amount of cocaine.
Hannah, Jr., was charged with robbery, theft, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a weapon, tampering with evidence, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
