Daughter, Mother Dead in Murder-suicide at Motel in Camden County, NJ
Authorities say a daughter and her mother died in a murder-suicide at a motel in Camden County this past weekend.
Just after 1:00 Saturday afternoon, October 14th, officers with the Brooklawn Police Department responded to the Rodeway Inn at 801 Crescent Boulevard (Route 130) for the report of a woman who had died inside of a room.
That woman was identified as 38-year-old Dawn Ogburn of Brooklawn.
Officers then found a second deceased woman in the room. Police say that victim, 63-year-old Deann Ogburn, also of Brooklawn, died as a result of being stabbed.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says an investigation determined that Dawn Ogburn fatally stabbed her mother, Deann, and then hanged herself.
Officials did not disclose any information about a possible motive.
