Dennis Twp., NJ, Fire Dept. Responds to an Accident, Then Another, Then Another
First responders in one Cape May County municipality had their hands full with not one, not two, but three accidents in a short amount of time Friday night.
At about 7:20, Dennis Twp. fire units were dispatched to the 700 Block of Route 47 in South Dennis for a motor vehicle crash.
There, crews found a vehicle had hit a tree. Due to the patient’s injuries, a medical helicopter was requested.
As first responders were working at the landing zone, they were called to another accident in the area of Routes 47 and 347 in Eldora.
At that scene, a vehicle had struck a utility pole and several fence posts.
While units were awaiting the arrival of utility companies to survey the second incident, there was a third crash on Route 347 near Lehner Road.
As a result of both of those accidents, Route 347 was closed for about 90 minutes.
Information regarding the injuries sustained in any of these accidents was not immediately available.
