Egg Harbor Township Police reminded the public not to let their guard down, saying,
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department reminds the community to stay vigilant against scams specifically targeting older adults. Criminals often exploit trust and technology to deceive seniors into surrendering money or personal information, frequently posing as tech support, government agencies, or loved ones in distress.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
