EHT Man First Reported County Resident to Die From Covid-19

An Egg Harbor Township man is the first reported Atlantic County resident to die from the coronavirus.

Public Health Officer Patricia Diamond from the Atlantic County Health Department said Thursday that the man in his late 50s had passed away. "“The patient had a history of underlying health conditions that put him at greater risk for complications from the coronavirus."

The man's identity has not been revealed.

At the time of the announcement Thursday, Diamond reported that there were 52 positive cases in Atlantic County.
