In this exclusive report, we can now confirm that a former Atlantic City Board of Education member and longtime board president has expanded his already massive litigation against various City of Atlantic City entities.

We have just completed an extensive interview with John Devlin, who is a retired Atlantic City Police Officer and a more than 20-year member of the Atlantic City Board of Education.

On May 16, 2023, The Atlantic City Board of Education took the unusual step of voting to remove Devlin from his board of education seat.

The action took place on very short notice and they did not provide Devlin with enough time to contact his lawyer to defend him before taking their termination action.

Previously, Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small led a political coup to remove Devlin from his seat on the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority … where Devlin was serving as Board Chairman.

Devlin had raised issues pertaining to various financial issues at the City’s municipal utilities authority.

Not long after the vote to remove Devlin succeeded by just one vote … Atlantic City Council President George Tibbitt publicly stated in a live, on-air interview with us that …

We were lied to by Mayor Small. We owe John Devlin a public apology.

Tibbitt then went on to issue a public apology on behalf of Devlin being unjustly removed from the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority.

Today, we have confirmed directly from Devlin that he has expanded his lawsuit regarding the adverse action taken against him by the Atlantic City Board of Education.

Devlin confirmed that he has added Shay Steele, the current Board President and the entire Atlantic City Board of Education apparatus.

Here is John Devlin in his own words:

"It's disappointing that the ACBOE and the City of Atlantic City under the leadership of Small, Steele and others continue a trend of retaliatory efforts against me. Unfortunately these types of actions seem to be standard operating procedure with this city leadership given local news reports. (ACHA) Its like Deja Vu all over again,” said Devlin.

"It seems as though, If anyone stands up and asks questions or doesn't rubber stamp a Small/Steel Agenda they are attacked and ousted by them using city resources and outside entities,” said Devlin.

"Everyone knows this all started when I and ACBOE exposed that a sexual predator related to Marty Smalls worked and committed crimes in our district,” said Devlin.

“I merely did my duty to expose unethical and criminal activities and I would do it again, concluded Devlin.

Here are various documents that we have received, which provide the details of actions taken against Devlin as follows:
