Four people are facing charges following an alleged armed robbery this past Monday afternoon in Lower Township.

Cops say they responded to a home in the Villas around 4:30 Monday afternoon after they received a call that a man was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim with injuries to his face. The victim told officers that he went to a house on East Atlantic Avenue to conduct a drug deal when man hit him in the face. An investigation revealed that 18-year-old Louis Garcia of North Cape May pointed a handgun at the victim and told him to empty his pockets.

During the investigation, authorities, including the Cape May County SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at that home on East Atlantic Avenue. During the search, 19-year-old Jonathan Halas of Cape May and another male juvenile were taken into custody. A short time later, Garcia and a second male juvenile were located at a separate house on East Atlantic Avenue where they were arrested.

The four suspects were charged with robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy to commit robbery. The adults were lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center and both juveniles were placed in a juvenile security facility.
