It should come as no surprise that things are moving fast.

With the immediate resignation of Atlantic County Freeholder Board Chairman Frank Formica ... “Hurley in the Morning” has learned and confirmed that Egg Harbor Township Committeeman Frank Balles has formally entered his name to be considered by the Atlantic County Republican Committee to fill the vacated position.

Balles is the former, popular three-term Atlantic County Sheriff. When Balles first won this Constitutional office, he was the Republican’s highest vote-getter, when he defeated the Atlantic County Democrats highest vote-getter, former Sheriff Jim McGettigan.

I have just interviewed Balles. He made a great case for his consideration.

The fact is, running County-wide is very challenging. Balles has a proven track record.

Balles told me:

"I would like to formally enter my name for consideration to fill the vacated seat of Freeholder Frank Formica. I believe that my knowledge and leadership as Atlantic County Sheriff (2009-2017) combined with my experience serving on Egg Harbor Township Committee (2019-2020) has provided me with a unique skill set which will further our efforts keeping Atlantic County the best run County in New Jersey, said Balles.”

We have the first interview with Balles, who will be our guest this Monday, September 14, 2020 at 9:05 a.m. on WPG Talk Radio 95.5 - “Hurley in the Morning,” along with Mayor Charles Cain.
