Two people were killed and another was seriously injured in a crash in Hamilton Township Wednesday afternoon.

The Hamilton Township Police Department said the accident happened along Millville Ave. (County Route 552) at about 4:20.

According to authorities, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Hyundai Elantra being driven by 21-year-old Caleb T. Morris of Cedarville was headed westbound on Millville Avenue when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

Morris initially collided with a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 59-year-old Joseph Baligani, Jr., of Hammonton, before colliding with a 2019 Nissan Altima, driven by 59-year-old Abdul S. Abdullah of Atlantic City.

All three vehicles came to rest in the roadway after the impact.
