
Holy Spirit Grad, ‘Mr. Atlantic City’ Remains Undefeated in Boxing
He was a standout football star at Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, New Jersey.
Now, he is 13-0, with 10 knockouts and a promising professional boxer.
Justin Figueroa was part of a live boxing card presented by Larry Goldberg, Boxing Insider Promotions at the Tropicana Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, this past Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Figueroa won on this past Saturday night’s live professional boxing event with a 2nd round knockout. over Mario Gaston Rios.
Goldberg has nicknamed Figueroa, “Mr. Atlantic City,” which is starting to stick.
There was great local Atlantic City and Pleasantville talent on display.
Bruce Seldon, Jr., also from Atlantic City won his match in just 53 seconds, with a first round knockout of Gabriel Costa.
Seldon improved his record to 5-0, with four knockouts.
Julio Sanchez, III, from Pleasantville, New Jersey was another triumphant local boxer, winning his professional debut, despite not feeling well.
Sanchez wrote the following in his Facebook page:
I was sick as a dog last night didn't know how l'd make it through but the performances of my guys and love they got from the crowd carried me through!!! This journey is not something I take for granted Bruce Seldon Jr. & Jewelz Sanchez thank you for trusting me!!! Anthony Young you gave me my start & have played a big role in their development!!!

Larry Goldberg, founder of Boxing Insider Promotions has reignited boxing in Atlantic City.
This was Goldberg’s 4th professional card at The Tropicana Atlantic City.
Visit Atlantic City is set to enter the world of professional boxing, as they will be sponsoring a championship fight at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on April 12, 2025.
