A huge crowd gathered outside of AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Thursday afternoon to show support for an Atlantic City police officer who was shot in the line of duty Labor Day weekend.

Officer Josh Vadell was shot after responding to a robbery call outside of Caesars’ parking garage during the early morning hours of September 3rd. Another ACPD officer shot and killed a suspect during the shoot-out. Two other people were later arrested in connection to the incident.

Just after noon Thursday, Ofc. Vadell was released from AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and transported to a rehab facility. As he left the hospital, hundreds of supporters showed their support...
