This is a very important update regarding the $10,000 Atlantic County Democratic Committee check, which was made payable to the Atlantic City Democratic Committee, however, intercepted by Atlantic City Mayor Frank M. Gilliam Jr.

I have confirmed that Atlantic County Democratic Party Chairman Mike Suleiman will tell the Atlantic City Democratic Committee this hour that Gilliam’s campaign manager, Rich Winstead, telephoned Suleiman expressly to take control of this $10,000 check.

Suleiman has already confirmed this to multiple members of the Atlantic City Democratic Committee.

This takes out of play Gilliam’s justification that this was mistakenly placed into his individual campaign account.
